The Ultimate Biscuit
We are a lump of flour. We are a lump of sugar. We are a lump of fats. We are a pool of water. We came from different regions of the world and we have different backgrounds and cultures. At first, we do not get along well with each other. Through mixing and matching process, we were kneaded together. With extra effort put into it, the team which once does not go along well becomes thoroughly mixed together to form strong and firm bond, like: a dough. At this stage, no one separates and they have no ‘me’, ‘you’, ‘him’ or ‘her’, but only ‘us’!
After thorough trials and tribulation, the dough formed need to be cut and moulded into desired shapes and sizes to meet objectives, to serve a purpose. Some were shaped beautifully (success), while some forms off-shapes (failure). The off- shapes is not permanent, they just needed more time to be kneaded back and formed into a beautiful shape again.
Next, the dough goes through an intense flame (life ups and downs). Along the journey, some of them strive through but some were burnt out. The survivors will carry on the will of the team and continue to do the best so that we do not let their effort down.
Although the intense flame is hot, it is only for a short while. Those travelling along the heated road may form a smaller team (married), some may go their own way and for some, they walk a different path. The ones who walk a different path, they move on and start over again from the beginning: kneading. No matter which path we take, we believe that one day we will meet again.
Going through the whole process, we become a team, the ultimate biscuit.
In R&D Department, everyone has a dream of making the ultimate biscuit which satisfies everyone’s desire. To materialize the ultimate biscuit, we cannot do it alone. We need your taste buds. Through the likes and dislikes of sensory evaluations we find the better person in ourselves, in our trial biscuits.
No matter what happen, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things, because we’re curious…..
And curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.
