One of my aspirations is to be a motivational speaker. I’ve always loved speaking to people through my photos, allowing them to feel that they’re never alone. Growing up, it wasn’t easy but my hardships that I faced gave me strength and made me a wiser person and I’d love to make people realize how wonderful they are no matter what or who they are. A special thanks to the love of my life, Heizeline. If you’re reading this, Thank you for introducing me to this. For this entry I’ll be sharing my opinion about an amazing comedian named Robin Williams.
Less than a week from today, we lost an icon, but one that will always stay in our hearts. Never again will entertainers like Robin Williams be so prominent, in the world’s mind. His death shook the whole world leaving them in awe and disbelief, how could anyone not be? He was an icon, a true genius but like any of us, a human being. It’s so sad to see so many famous entertainers die tragically, I guess being famous gives an unique pressure to one’s self. People hold high expectations of you and it’s so difficult to live up to them and to simultaneously live like a normal human being. Robin quoted once, “I used to think the worst thing in life was to end up all alone. It’s not. The worst thing in life is to end up with people who make you feel all alone.” I guess he either chose the wrong friends, or he dismissed opening up to people because he was afraid of being judged or of being a burden. Depression is a terrible disease, but one that can be overcome. Be open to everyone about yourself because those who mind, won’t matter and those who matter, won’t mind. My heart goes out to Robin’s family. Rest in peace Robin Williams, the world will definitely miss you.
