The Best of You also spreads its message of appreciation to schools with dramas and mini-exhibitions. Each year, we explore a different theme in order to raise awareness on social issues that are important for students to learn more about and understand better. Through these, we hope to encourage students and teachers to share their own stories of appreciation as well.
In 2019, we touch on the topic of inequality and its prevalence in our society today. Using the subject of urban poverty, we introduce students to the topic and incite reflection on how they can play their part in being kind towards and lending a helping hand to those in need around them.
In 2018, we explored the subject of bullying – an increasingly prevalent issue in many schools. In a joint effort with each of the schools, we established a clear stand against bullying and challenged students to dare to be the source of positive change in their own school.
Our Drama TeamIn 2017, we focused on the topic of appreciation on foreign migrant workers. They leave their countries and families to a foreign land. They build our roads, our offices and our houses. We encourage every individual to show them respect and appreciate their effort and sacrifices they have made to give their families a better lives.

In 2019, we touch on the topic of anti-bullying in two languages, Mandarin and Malay. Through the Mandarin drama performances, we introduce students to the topic of bullies and passive victims in the school environment and incite reflection on how they can play a part by taking positive actions to stop and prevent bullying as empowered bystanders. The students are also engaged with information on the differences between teasing and bullying in verbal and physical forms.
Through presentation and Q&A sessions in Malay, we conveyed the anti-bullying message with the hope of preventing bullying behaviours in schools and the eventual creation of a safe environment for students.
