You define you!

Since young, I always knew that I was a little different among the kids my age. I always have a different set of thinking, which usually differs from my peers. People like to put me down or tell me what is the ‘right’ way of doing things. I was always doubted when I challenged the norm or when I came up with an alternative idea. I slowly realised that we are all bounded by what the society made us believed is ‘right’ and this has robbed us off our freedom to decide what is good for us or what is right for ourselves.

Thus, I stopped questioning myself and just headed right into whatever that I want to do or wished to try. That is when I ventured into Dance and got pretty good at it. Despite the doubts and challenges faced, I was lucky that I was able to make a name for myself in the dance scene because of my determination and perseverance. Being the man with many dreams, I got myself into Dragonboating; I always wanted to be involved in a competitive sport. And that led me to serious lifting and bodybuilding. However along the way, I chanced upon the opportunity of being a Model. The only condition was that I have to lose my mass (90kg to 70kg), which I did in one month’s time from all the clean diet and massive cardio.

I'm known to be a very determined person. When I set my eyes on a goal, I would work my way there no matter what it takes. Stepping my foot onto the European market was a big step that I took and I am just so overwhelmed by the little achievements I've made. Walking on the runway in Milan and Paris Fashion Week is every model's dream and I'm just glad that I was able to fulfill it during my first season. This is just the beginning and I am already excited for what’s coming up next.

I just want to tell everyone out there – it is okay to think differently. It is okay to dream big or in fact, have many dreams. Do not let anyone tell you what is the ‘right’ way of doing things because only you know best. YOU DEFINE YOU!

P.S: I am still dreaming of what to do next...
