Story written by a student of Buku Jalanan Chow Kit
From failure, we can change to achieve our goals
Hi everyone. Today I want to share about what I have discovered while in Malaysia. So, the first thing that I seen is if they are not Malaysian (means they don't have any documents in Malaysia) the Police will arrest them and they need to pay at least 300. My parents had been through that. I also have experience through that during MCO. I was slapped by an IPD officer that time. I don't want to explain more because I hate to think about it again. What I know is, Malaysian's salaries are more than foreigners.
Before MCO started, I'm working with my father to sell fruits and many people come my stall to buy some fruits from my stall. And now during this MCO my father and I can't work because we are foreigners. We didn't had identity card and we are not Malaysians. I really want my father and my stall to sell the fruits as worker. I hope after this pandemic Covid-19 end, I can work like usual.
Now everywhere I go like supermarket we must check our temperature whether we have the symptom or not. After that, we have to write our names and phone numbers. Now we need to practice social distancing to stop Covid-19 from spreading.
Other than that, the children who can't go to government school because they don't have any documents like birth certificate indicating they are not citizens because their parents travel from their countries to find a job in Malaysia. Like me who didn't have any documents like identity card to be Malaysian.
On December 2016, my friend invited me to go to tuition class nearby from my home. One day, the teacher ask me that I study at government school or not. Then, I told to my teacher I didn't study at government school and I have finished school at Islamic school area Kampung Bharu until I was 12 years old.
I will thank to Teacher Rahayu and the others because they who take care about us, feed us, and always teach us how to be a good people in the future. They also give us advice, motivation and inspiration when we do mistake or failure. From failure, we can change to achieve our goals. Thank you !!!
