Md. Shahidul Islam is a Bangladeshi expatriate living in Singapore. He was born in Manikganj Zilla, Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 1998, under the National University of Bangladesh, he completed his Masters. He started work as a shipyard computer operator in 2009. He has been associated with Banglar Kantha as a contributor for some time now. He has two published books as well as numerous anthologies published. Currently he works as a Shipyard Project Supervisor at Jurong.

সিঙ্গাপুর প্রবাসী মোহাম্মদ সহিদুল ইসলাম ঢাকা বিভাগের মানিকগঞ্জ জেলায়জন্ম গ্রহণ করেন। সহিদুল জাতীয় বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের অধীনে ১৯৯৮ সালে ব্যবস্থাপনাবিষয়ের উপর এম.কম ডিগ্রী গ্রহণ করেন। লেখালেখির প্রতি তার আগ্রহ ছিল ছোটবেলাথেকেই। মানিকগঞ্জ সরকারি দেবেন্দ্র কলেজের ‘আবহমান’ ম্যাগাজিনে সহিদুলের প্রথমলেখা প্রকাশিত হয়। গল্প, কবিতা, প্রবন্ধ এবং উপন্যাস লেখার প্রতি তার আগ্রহ রয়েছে।২০০৯ সালে তিনি সিঙ্গাপুরের জুরং শিপইয়ার্ডে কম্পিউটার অপারেটর পদে কর্মজীবন শুরুকরেন। বর্তমানে তিনি একই কোম্পানীতে প্রজেক্ট সুপারভাইজার হিসেবে কাজ করছেন।পাশাপাশি বাংলার কণ্ঠে লেখালেখি চালিয়ে যাচ্ছেন।
এককভাবে সহিদুলের দুটি এবং যৌথভাবে বেশ কয়েকটি বই প্রকাশিত হয়েছে।দেশ-বিদেশের বেশ কিছু অনলাইন এবং প্রিন্ট মিডিয়ায় নিয়মিত তার গল্প, কবিতা এবংউপন্যাস প্রকাশিত হয়।
