I've known my friend Min Kyung through online language exchange whereby were learning from each other (Korean-English). We met for the first time in 2014 in Singapore and it felt as if we have known each other for a long time.

Despite the culture differences between Singapore and Korea, we get along very well. Despite the distance, we are actually close at heart although she is in Korea and I am in Singapore.

Being a Muslim while traveling together in Korea and other country with Min Kyung, I worry about restricting her food. However she had taken good care of me knowing what I can and cannot eat.

It is difficult to maintain a long distance friendship especially when your friend is not there when you need someone by your side. Min Kyung is always there for me although miles away. She understands the unspoken words that have been left unsaid. Although we may have some language barrier, we have been such good friends!
